Choose one of the following paper options. You will write a 750 word position paper (as a memo to your boss) taking a side in the argument. You may consider the various ethical models we have discussed or Hill′s understanding of reflecting the character of God in holiness, justice and love (or both) as the basis of your argument. If you choose to do that, though, remember that you probably want to express those ideas in secular terms. With each option, there are two articles that address the issues around the question raised. You should consider the arguments raised in the articles in writing your paper. You want to think carefully about presenting both sides of the argument, but you should explain clearly why you choose one perspective over the other. You must take a position — though it is acceptable to consider the possibility of an answer that reflects a third alternative. An example with explanation of the memo format is in the Writing Elements powerpoint. It can also be found on the Purdue OWL website: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/590/01/ (Links to an external site.) Links to an external site. You are expected to get the memo format correct. There will be a penalty for invalid format.
