Evaluation of Analytic Tools and Services
You work for a medium sized organisation which employs approximately 100 people.
Your CEO asks you to prepare a report about the potential uses of data-analytics for your company.
Your brief is to explore some options for services or tools that can be used in two areas of your
organisation.
You can select one of these areas from the list below:
 Marketing Analytics
 Competitor Analytics
 Customer Analytics
For the other area you must choose one area which is not in the above list.
For each of the two areas you are to investigate two options, which might either be to use the
services of some specialist organisation or to use some specialist analytic tools.
For each tool or service that you choose, you are required to describe and evaluate:
1. The sources of data that are used
2. The range of analyses which are provided
3. The way that the results are presented
Thus, your Report will describe and evaluate a total of four tools or services.
Originality
Group work is not allowed, and your report should be your and only your work. Massey’s provisions
regarding plagiarism fully apply (please, refer to the Academic Misconduct page of the Assessment
Guide).
Marking Guide
1. Analysis, Content, Structure: 80%
2. Referencing (valid and reliable sources used): 10%
3. Quality of presentation: 10%
