HINT730 Information Management in Healthcare
Assignment: EHRGo: Understanding TJC Tracer Methodology
Weekly Learning Objective: Examine required documentation and record structures.
This assignment will give you some experience in navigating through an electronic patient record. The Tracer
Methodology is an activity that Joint Commission Reviewers conduct during a site visit for hospitals.
The EHR Go Student Guide will assist you with creating an account (unless you already have one) with EHR Go.
It will assist you with general navigation of the EHR Go software, including logging in, etc. so keep this guide handy.
Additional guides are available under the Help section after logging in. If you already have an account, you may login
directly: EHR Go Website.
Access the EHR Go Codes document that contains the necessary information to access the EHR Go software after
successfully logging in. In addition, there is an Orientation Assignment if needed. Instructions and directions are
available. You may have to go outside of Blackboard to access it. There will be 10 questions at the end of the document
for you to answer based on the patient's chart. You will not be entering any information into the patient's EHR.
How to Submit Your EHR Go Assignment:
Each activity will specify how you submit work in the last section of the document, "Submit your work". You will
place your answers directly on the answer sheet and then save the document. You will then submit the
assignment in Blackboard under Assignments located in the left-hand navigation menu.
All activities instruct you to submit the document to the Blackboard course. Please name the file by including your
last name in the file. For example, tracer methodology-last name.first name.
If you have any technical issues with the EHR Go website or software, please contact EHR Go Support.
