Week 5: Social Media Group Discussion (35 points) – Collaborative discussion required, grade based on individual contributions.

  1. Research and respond to the discussion question below by the end of Day 3. You will post in your group’s discussion thread  Your answer should be a minimum of 400 words, 2-3 sources, in APA format, and should meet professional standards in content and writing style. You are expected to interact and engage with your ONE group member with ONE substantial response postings 200-300 words, due by Day 7. In addition, as a group, based on your individual group members’ posts, select the two social media types to use in your strategic marketing plan. See assignment rubric for additional requirements.

Question:

  1. For your answer post, provide a summary of your social media selection and findings. Defend why your social media selection should be used.  Provide your rationale for either why your group should use your social media selection OR why you feel it is not a good choice, based on the research and analysis you conducted in Week 4.
  2. For your response post, provide a constructive critique of one group member’s selection.  Do you agree with your classmate’s assessments? Provide a rationale for why you feel your group member’s section may be the best route OR if you feel there is a better choice, why the other choice should be selected instead.
  3. As a group: By Day 7, based on your group member posts, decide on two social media types to use in your Strategic Marketing Project.  Have one group member email the instructor your two selections.

Submit email to instructor by Day 7, 11:59 pm ET.
