Week 3: Acquisition and Preparation of Human Resources

Learning Outcome: Evaluate the merits of key functional areas of human resources' areas such as 
organizational development, succession and workforce planning, strategic staffing, diversity training,
cultural change, and rewards and recognition redesign.

Using the Discussion Board Rubric listed below for the specific grading criteria, develop an original response 
to the following:

Your instructor will split you into two groups: Group A and Group B. After reflecting on the video, follow the 
instructions below for the group you have been assigned to:

Group A:
Research and locate three articles supporting the employer's side and summarize your findings.

Group B:
Research and locate three articles supporting the employee's side and summarize your findings.

Each student will develop a well thought-out original response with a minimum of 350 words and referencing a 
minimum of two academic sources (outside of the textbook) to support your answer. Each peer response should 
be a minimum of 100 words. Be sure to make your post to the correct Discussion Board for your assigned group.
